marriage at Cana
No-one, but the mystical writer “John”, mentions this miracle. The marriage has an allegorical meaning. And the mention of the third day is significant, as we will see .
The marriage at Cana in John’s gospel also is a foreshadow of the marriage of the Lamb. The wedding of the Lamb is mentioned several times in the Gospels and Revelations. In the marriage of the Lamb, the bridegroom is The Christ, and the bride is the Church (ekklesia) - that is: all who have persevered to the end and who have been declared righteous, and are saved (they are without sin and made acceptable to be in God’s presence), and are called the sons of God.
