Jesus sects 1st.-4th. cent

There were many variations of the Gospel taught by the disciples of the Apostles. Religious groups were formed in the Eastern Empire and into Syria, and India. Many unique Gospels were written, and the Bishops taught priests ideas from Thomas, Peter, Philip, and so on, and these ideas were eventually written down for preservation. The sect that became Catholicism was that of Paul. Whence came Anglicanism and Protestantism. The other branches  of Apostolic training were mostly, by the 6th century, put down by  the  State religion  – Roman Catholicism.
